Platform Development Announcement - January 2024

We would like to make you aware of two exciting new developments to our platform.

Speed enhancements across AWS data centres

As part of ongoing work to continue to ensure we maintain a secure and scalable platform and taking into account the global nature of our business and our clients we’re about to start working with one of our suppliers in a new way.

To date, we’ve kept our data in predefined data centres in Europe. We are going to start using a content delivery network to speed up the performance of our platform and as a consequence the data which powers our platform may be processed in AWS’ wider list of datacenter locations in both the EU and the USA. As always, we’ve minimised the amount of personal data being processed and we have also signed the necessary data processing agreements and ensured AWS has passed our information security vetting processes.

Utilising OpenAI 

We’re also planning to invest in using AI in certain areas of our platform and to do so we’re planning to work with OpenAI. Whilst we’re taking steps to ensure that personal information is not used in any AI model as a precautionary measure we are treating OpenAI as a sub-processor in the event personal information is used in an AI model. For ease of reference, the areas of our platform where AI is being used are clearly marked with a “Powered By AI” icon.
