Leading marketing technology business Mention Me, currently running the referral programmes for 400+ leading International brands, announces its first senior hire for their Paris office.

Thibaut Behaghel joins as General Manager, bringing more than 30 years of expertise in developing teams, products and services, within high growth technology and marketing businesses. Thibaut was CEO and Co-Founder of mobile call tracking business WannaSpeak for 7 years, until they sold to iovox in December 2018, then taking an instrumental role in the new business owning global expansion. Prior to this he held senior positions within LastPass where he helped establish a leadership position in Europe and throughout Asia; telecommunications business eStara and web design company eFuson.

Building on Mention Me’s success as part of the Lafayette Plug and Play programme, Behaghel will be focussed on accelerating growth, expanding the business’ French client base, building strategic partnerships and further adapting Mention Me’s proposition and platform for the French market.

Mention Me’s market leading SaaS platform gives brands the right tools to maximise new customer acquisition through referrals and word of mouth. Having experienced phenomenally rapid growth in the UK working with 400+ clients and already operating in 18 languages and multiple currencies, successful French programmes already running include ba&sh, Feelunique, Seraphine, GHD, Benefit Cosmetics, Recommerce, MATCHESFASHION.COM, Farfetch and Eve Mattress.

Brands are increasingly using word-of-mouth referrals to attract new customers, as acquisition costs continue to rise on platforms such as Facebook and Google. Referral marketing, if done well, can drive 10-30% of a brand’s new customer acquisition, whilst also increasing engagement with existing customers.

Andy Cockburn, CEO of Mention Me, said: “We’re incredibly excited to welcome Thibaut to Mention Me’s Leadership team, and watch him drive our French business and reputation forward. His entrepreneurial drive and passion for making a business the number one in its field, building partnerships and remaining client focussed, reflects our values and approach”.

“With recent stats from Fevad stating that the online retail industry of France was worth 92.6 billion euros at the end of last year, this is a market that is thriving and opportune for marketing solutions. We look forward to growing existing clients’ French campaigns and working with new ones.”
