Christina Aylmer-Pearse
By Christina Aylmer-Pearse — February 27, 2020 -

Mention Me, announces a second raft of senior appointments across the business, with Stuart Whyte joining as Chief Revenue Officer, Ben Henshall as Data & Insights Analyst and Thibaut Behaghel as General Manager of the newly opened Paris office.

These appointments build on a year of steep accelerated team and client growth following Mention Me’s Series A funding raise of $7M in 2018 with Eight Roads Ventures. 2020 will see the business focusing on deepening new vertical sector expertise, expansion of their French team, and the announcement of a new suite of retention and acquisition products for their platform.

Stuart Whyte joins from marketing technology business Thunderhead where he was Executive Vice President EMEA & Apac, overseeing rapid growth over the last five years. Stuart brings 24 years experience across martech businesses including Adobe; and as CRO will be focussed on honing Mention Me’s approach to partnerships and owning the revenue number across every team in the business.

Following a global talent search, Ben Henshall joins as Mention Me’s first Data & Insights Analyst, from data driven analytics business Incline in Cape Town. At Mention Me Ben will be spearheading a drive towards making data-science driven decisions across the business, by owning the development, validation, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports and analyses to drive key business decisions. Ben’s hire supports the business’ commitment to ensure data insights are at the core of Mention Me’s product and strategy.

Thibaut Behaghel joins as General Manager for the newly opened Paris office, bringing more than 30 years of expertise in developing teams, products and services, within high growth technology and marketing businesses. Building on Mention Me’s success as part of the Lafayette Plug and Play programme, Behaghel will be focussed on accelerating growth, expanding the business’ French client base, building strategic partnerships and further adapting Mention Me’s proposition and platform for the French market.

These appointments to the Leadership team follow on from Head of Legal Gavin Walles, Head of People Valerie Mann and Finance Director Robert Thorogood joining in 2019.

Mention Me’s market leading SaaS platform gives brands the right tools to maximise new customer acquisition through referrals and word of mouth. Having experienced phenomenally rapid growth in the UK working with 400+ clients and already operating in 18 languages and multiple currencies, this year they will be replicating that success in France. Successful programmes already running in France and the UK include Feelunique, Seraphine, GHD, Benefit Cosmetics, Missguided, MATCHESFASHION.COM, Farfetch and Eve Mattress.

Andy Cockburn, CEO and joint founder of Mention Me comments, “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing in such experience and talent into these three new roles, all of whom will be instrumental in powering the business forward through our next phase of fast growth. It’s been a successful journey so far, but we have no intention of standing still. These newly created roles will be central to shaping our business model and direction of the business; supported by our new products designed to tangibly enhance the customer journey further, quickly creating high numbers of advocates and driving loyalty and lifetime value”.
